Commissions
Almost universally there is an increasing trend towards a union between built forms and the environment. For many years I have been interested in the integration of art and architecture with a specific interest in public space interiors.
Public spaces can provide a highly visible canvas for artworks as a way of enriching the interaction with people using or visiting these areas.
Having worked with numerous leading architect/interior design firms over the last twenty years I appreciate the value of a collaborative design methodology. In this way design goals can be reinforced and given an accessible voice and form.
By working in this way I strive to inform my audience, to create interest and to present my art as more than decorative. The experience that people have within a built-form is important to me.
Rather than simply ‘filling space’ I plan my bodies of artwork around clusters of images that work singularly or in a family of subject matter. My art projects to date have ranged from luxury residential, hotel suites and corporate collections.
Attention to detail and quality execution are important parameters adhered to in the work, no matter the scale involved.
I have an interest in all areas of artwork, including sculptural and relief commission projects.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss any potential site specific commissions as I believe that artworks can help to more fully engage the users experience while expanding the function of the built-form.
